Strength doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from being stable enough to be real.
I’m Nikol Kuiken, founder of Strong and Stable Inc.
More importantly than any credential,
I
’m someone who understands what it means to live through profound change — and to discover, again and again,
that strength and stability are built
one steady step, one choice, one moment at a time.
Life can change in an instant.
Loss, trauma, illness, or unexpected transitions
can shake the very ground beneath us,
leaving us searching for balance, meaning, and a way forward. I
know this terrain personally, and I work with people who find themselves here — not to erase what’s happened, but to learn how to live with it, gently and honestly.
At Strong & Stable, my commitment is simple and deep:
to create a space where you feel
seen, heard, and gently held
— exactly as you are, and as you’re becoming.
I believe growth begins with safety.
When people feel safe enough to settle,
to slow down,
and to be met without judgment, s
omething important happens.
The nervous system steadies.
Clarity returns.
Authentic strength begins to emerge —
not through effort, but through stable presence.

Because meaningful change takes both.
Stability — to feel grounded in the present, to steady your emotions, and to create enough safety to pause.
Strength — not the kind that pushes through, but the kind that unfolds when you feel supported enough to step forward.
Over time, these qualities begin to work together — allowing clarity, self-trust, and growth to emerge naturally.

I offer trauma-informed and experiential services, including:
Each experience is customized —
meeting you exactly where you are,
and supporting where you’re ready to go.
Coaching at Strong & Stable is not about performance, productivity, or relentless resilience.
It’s about creating enough stability that you can begin to show up more authentically,
reconnect with yourself, and move forward
in ways that feel sustainable and true.
When you work with me, you can expect:
Clients often describe leaving sessions feeling more settled, clearer about what matters, and more trusting of themselves and their timing.
If you’re feeling ready — or even just quietly curious — about what it might be like to feel more settled, supported, and aligned, you’re welcome here.
Working together isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about creating enough stability to reconnect with who you already are.
Sometimes, it begins simply —
with a conversation, a shared pause, and the relief of not having to do it alone.

Founder & Coach, Strong & Stable Inc.
(formerly Lead Coaching) | 2006 – Present
Supporting individuals, families, and professionals through trauma-informed, presence-based, and solution-focused coaching. Offering individual coaching, equine-assisted learning, and mentorship for coaches seeking grounded, ethical, and sustainable practice.
Enrollment Advisor | Program Support & Admissions | Part-time
Moving the Human Spirit | September 2025 – Present
I am very excited and deeply grateful to be working alongside co-founder Susan Hogarth, supporting individuals who are exploring trauma-informed coaching or integrating trauma-informed principles into their existing professional skill sets.
This work includes admissions conversations, discernment support, and ongoing student-journey guidance — helping people understand not only the structure of trauma-informed training, but the responsibility, capacity, and self-awareness required to practice ethically and with care.
Assistant Facilitator, Enrollment Advisor & Program Support
Erickson Coaching International | 2012 – 2021 | Contract / Part-time
Worked in a variety of roles supporting people becoming Solution-Focused Coaches within ICF-accredited training programs.
Contributions included assistant facilitation, trainer support within Erickson’s flagship program The Art & Science of Coaching, admissions conversations, and student-journey support.
I also contributed to curriculum updates and revisions, supporting the evolution of training content while helping create learning environments grounded in clarity, safety, and practical application. Supported students from first inquiry through certification with steadiness, presence, and respect for each individual’s learning process.
Mentor Coach | 2017 – Present
Providing mentor coaching to support coaches in developing competence, confidence, and ethical alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed principles, nervous-system awareness, and deep respect for lived experience. While I support healing, growth, and integration, I do not diagnose, treat, or replace medical or mental-health care.
Coaching with me is not about fixing or pathologizing. It is about creating safety, strengthening internal resources, and supporting thoughtful, sustainable forward movement. When additional or specialized support is needed, I value collaboration and appropriate referral as part of ethical, responsible care.
