PEMF for Horses — Power to Heal

Gentle, Supportive Care for Our Equine Partners

At Strong & Stable, our work with horses is rooted in respect, gratitude, and care.

Horses offer us presence, grounding, wisdom, and connection — often without asking anything in return.

Providing PEMF therapy is one way we give back.

We offer Power to Heal PEMF sessions as a gentle, non-invasive form of complementary care for horses, supporting comfort, recovery, and overall wellbeing. This work is about stewardship, listening, and honoring the horses who make this work possible.

What Is PEMF?

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy) is a gentle therapy that supports the body’s natural healing processes at a cellular level.

Rather than working only on muscles from the outside, PEMF supports circulation, relaxation, and recovery from within — helping oxygen, nutrients, and energy move more efficiently through the body. Many people think of PEMF as going a step deeper than massage, supporting the whole system in a calm, supportive way.

H

ow PEMF Can Support Horses

PEMF is often used to support:

  • relaxation and nervous-system settling

  • circulation and tissue oxygenation

  • reduction of inflammation and discomfort

  • muscle relaxation and recovery

  • bone and soft-tissue healing

  • post-work cool-down and soreness reduction

Many horses show clear signs of relaxation during sessions, such as lowering their head, yawning, softening their posture, or resting.

How Sessions Are Offered

Sessions are calm, guided, and always led by the horse’s comfort and response.

Horses are free to move, pause, or disengage at any time. We work with presence, observation, and respect .

No special preparation is needed, and sessions can be integrated into existing wellness, training, or recovery routines.

PEMF as Complementary Care

PEMF is offered as supportive, complementary care and does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. It works alongside veterinary care, bodywork, and thoughtful training programs to support overall equine wellbeing.

Alignment with Our EAL Values

J

ust as our Equine-Assisted Learning work centers on steadiness, presence, and nervous-system awareness for people, PEMF reflects those same values for horses.

It is one of the ways we honor the partnership, wisdom, and generosity horses bring — offering care that is respectful, grounded, and responsive.

PEMF is offered as complementary wellness support and is not a substitute for veterinary care, diagnosis, or medical treatment.

Insurance & Liability

PEMF sessions at Strong & Stable are offered as non-invasive, complementary wellness support for horses. All sessions are facilitated with care, observation, and respect for the horse’s comfort and choice.

PEMF is not a medical treatment and does not replace veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Horse owners and guardians remain responsible for their horse’s overall health care and for consulting with a licensed veterinarian regarding injury, illness, or medical concerns.

Sessions are conducted in accordance with general equine safety practices.

While every effort is made to provide a calm and supportive environment,

working around horses carries inherent risks.

Participation indicates acknowledgement and acceptance of these risks.
